Were looking for a Integration Specialist to join our Technology team and ensure our systems and partner platforms work seamlessly together. This is a hands-on, high-impact role perfect for someone early in their integration or systems career who loves problem-solving and wants to make a real difference.
As an Integration Specialist, you will:
Support & Manage Integrations
Set up, monitor, and maintain integrations between HEP systems (CRM, LMS) and partner university platforms
Troubleshoot issues, validate data accuracy, and perform manual updates when needed
Log, track, and escalate integration incidents
Document & Improve Processes
Document business processes, data flows, and integration points
Prepare basic technical documentation and data mapping
Analyse issues with senior colleagues and propose process improvements
Collaborate with Partners & Vendors
Support integration workshops and meetings, capturing actions and outcomes
Liaise with external development partners to track tasks and progress
Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders about integration updates and issues
Ensure Data Quality & Reporting
Validate and cleanse data using Excel, SQL, or other tools
Assist with dashboards and reports on data integrity and system synchronisation
Monitor scheduled data loads and background jobs
Maintain Security & Compliance
Follow internal data security policies and best practices
Comply with UK GDPR and partner data agreements
Ensure all integration changes are properly documented and approved
Essential
13 years experience supporting data, systems, or integrations
Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or LMS platforms
Hands-on experience with data validation, cleaning, and reporting
Familiarity with databases (SQL, Access, or similar)
Basic understanding of APIs, ETL processes, and data formats (JSON, CSV, XML)
Exposure to CRM or LMS platforms (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, etc.)
Exposure to integration tools such as Boomi, MuleSoft, or similar
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data validation)
Ability to document processes and track issues effectively
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks
Desirable
Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Foundational SQL and/or Python skills
Experience in higher education or technology-driven environments
