Summary
We are seeking a skilled and flexible class 2 driver to join our team at Paul Riches Skips.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering, collecting and exchanging skips throughout our service areas
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a skip lorry to transport recyclable materials and waste to designated locations.
- Ensure timely delivery while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Must be able to use common sense and own initiative to problem solve when required.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups as required.
- Communicate effectively with customers and the hire desk
- Flexibility is key, as you may be required to drive other vehicles in the company.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving license (HGV class 2) is required.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Positive working attitude
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Minimum 12 months experience on HGV's
- Posses good customer service skills
- Previous waste experience is a bonus but not essential, as training will be provided.
Working hours are 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday, Every other Saturday 7am-12pm at overtime rate.
