Your Mission
Your role is to ensure our financial records are accurate, organised and up to date, giving the Directors confidence in the financial health of the business and enabling informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records using Xero.
- Reconciling bank accounts.
- Processing sales and purchase invoices.
- Recording business expenses.
- Preparing VAT returns (where applicable).
- Monitoring outstanding customer payments and highlighting overdue invoices.
- Keeping financial records organised and up to date.
- Producing a simple monthly financial summary for the Directors.
- Liaising with our external accountant as required.
- Identifying opportunities to improve bookkeeping processes and financial systems.
What Success Looks Like
The successful candidate will:
- Ensure all bookkeeping is accurate and up to date.
- Complete bank reconciliations promptly.
- Maintain organised financial records.
- Creating forecasting
- Deliver monthly financial reports on time.
- Help the Directors maintain clear visibility of the company's financial position.
- Be proactive, reliable and highly organised.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a minimum of 3 years' bookkeeping experience.
- Is AAT qualified or holds an equivalent bookkeeping qualification.
- Has strong experience using Xero.
- Has knowledge of UK bookkeeping and VAT requirements.
- Experience of international payments
- Has excellent attention to detail.
- Is trustworthy, organised and dependable.
- Can work independently with minimal supervision.
- Communicates clearly and professionally.
- Takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
