Summary
Site Manager - Part Time - Afternoons 22.5 hours per week
We are seeking a reliable Part Time (afternoons 2pm until 6:30pm) School Site Manager to join our outstanding, popular, and oversubscribed school.
Along with our other Site Manager who works mornings, you would undertake a full and proactive role supporting aspects of site management and grounds, including health and safety, security, cleanliness, porterage, routine maintenance, lettings, refurbishment and minor repairs.
The successful candidate will have good interpersonal and organisational skills who can prioritise, plan, schedule and be accountable for their own and others work.
Other responsibilities
- Act as a keyholder, carrying out security procedures for the buildings and grounds.
- Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs (carpentry, plumbing, painting, basic electrical work)
- Ensure the site is clean, safe, and well-presented at all times
- Assist with Lettings out of school hours, opening, closing, communication
- Work during school holidays
- Undertake some cleaning tasks, which include window cleaning, classrooms, corridor and floor buffing, including deep cleans
- Monitor and manage heating, lighting, and alarm systems
- Conduct regular health & safety checks, including risk assessments and compliance checks (training can be provided)
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and external agencies when required
- Support school events and activities by setting up rooms and moving equipment
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues promptly
- Flexible approach to working hours when needed
- Ensuring that all areas are free from litter and that drains and gutters are free flowing.

Essential Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 qualification in Caretaking (or equivalent)
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ Level 4 qualification in Caretaking/Site Management (or equivalent)
Essential Experience
- Experience of working as a caretaker or site supervisor
- Experience of supervising staff
- Experience of planning and programming work
Desirable Experience
- Experience of managing contractors
- Experience of testing portable electrical equipment
