Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Residential Children's Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will need experience within Ofsted settings with Children. We have a range of shifts available for full time staff members. Supporting children with complex needs including autism, learning disabilities, ADHD.
Sleep in duties are included.

Responsibilities
- Provide personalised care and support tailored to each child's individual needs and care plans
- Foster a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children in residential care
- Assist children with daily routines, including personal hygiene, meal times, and recreational activities
- Support children's emotional wellbeing through active listening and positive engagement
- Facilitate educational activities and encourage participation in social and recreational programmes
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and progress in line with organisational policies
- Drive children safely to appointments or outings when required, adhering to all safety regulations
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure consistent support for each child
Skills
- Proven experience working with children or in childcare settings
- Strong understanding of child development and child protection principles
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build trusting relationships with children and colleagues
- Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately and adapt approaches as needed
- Competent IT skills for maintaining records and completing documentation efficiently
- Empathy, patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
Pay: £13.50-£14.00 per hour
