Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual with experience in baking within a butchery to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of food safety standards and be committed to producing high-quality baking and meat products. Duties
- Production of bakery products including pies, bread and confectionery
- Ensuring all products meet quality and safety standards, including HACCP compliance
- Operating equipment safely and efficiently, including mechanical tools
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the work area in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assisting with inventory management and stock rotation to minimise waste
- Adhering to all health and safety protocols during daily operations
- Recording production data accurately using basic maths skills for weighing and measurements
- Collaborating with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
Requirements
- Proven experience in bakery and meat processing roles
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations
- Strong understanding of food production processes within a bakery/butchery environment
- Mechanical knowledge related to butchery equipment is advantageous
- Basic maths skills for measurements, weight calculations, and inventory management
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety in the workplace
Pay: £12.72-£15.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
