Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Yard/Warehouse Operative to join our team.
This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and logistics processes, supporting our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
You will be responsible for performing a variety of duties including handling stock movements both into and out of the yard/warehouse and filling replenishment orders, picking for factories across our two sites (Olney & Wollaston) both manually and using manual handling equipment.
As this role will involves working outdoors, you must be comfortable working outside regardless of weather changes.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Manage stock levels and ensure accurate inventory records.
- Handle materials with care, supporting the manufacturing process.
- Assist with loading and unloading shipments.
- Maintain a clean and organised warehouse/yard environment.
- Support shipping and receiving activities.
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or similar roles.
- Full Clean Drivers Licence.
- Valid forklift and Combi licence advantageous.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting.
- Mechanical knowledge or construction experience is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Attention to safety procedures.
