Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Part-time Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customers enjoy a welcoming experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of coffee, tea, and other beverages in accordance with company standards
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
- Maintain cleanliness of the coffee station, equipment, and dining area to meet food safety standards
- Handle cash register operations and process payments accurately
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Provide friendly and attentive service to all customers, addressing any special requests or dietary needs
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including food safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation tasks when required, such as assembling light snacks or pastries
Skills
- Previous barista experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Experience in serving customers with excellent communication skills
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Strong organisational skills to keep work areas tidy and stocked
- Ability to work efficiently within a team while maintaining a positive attitude
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and customer demands
