Safe Haven Arts & Coffee Bournemouth
We're looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable barista to join our team on a zero hours contract.
We're an independent, therapeutic cafe with a welcoming and inclusive environment. We are looking for someone hard working and who can create a positive experience for our customers.
The Role
As a barista, you'll help with the day-to-day running of the cafe.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing coffee, teas, matcha, smoothies and other drinks to a high standard.
- Taking customer orders and providing a friendly and attentive service.
- Handling cash and card payments.
- Maintaining excellent cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Restocking and keeping the cafe organised.
- Following food safety, allergen and health & safety procedures.
- Supporting the wider team during busy periods
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and confident with customers.
- Reliable and punctual.
- A team player with a positive attitude.
- Able to work independently and use their initiative.
- Comfortable working in a busy cafe environment.
- Flexible and available to work a variety of shifts.
Previous barista experience is preferred, but we are also happy to consider someone with strong customer service experience.
