Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. Duties
- Assist with meal preparation and food presentation under the supervision of senior kitchen staff
- Support the cleaning and organisation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to ensure hygiene standards are maintained
- Help with ingredient organisation, storage, and stock replenishment
- Prepare ingredients such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning for cooking or serving
- Assist in serving meals to customers or staff in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Follow all food safety procedures to ensure compliance with hygiene standards
- Support the team during catering events or busy service periods as required
- Ensure all kitchen areas are kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times
Skills
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food preparation is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to learn new culinary skills and adapt to different roles within the kitchen setting
