Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive desktop support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and operating system issues promptly.
- Maintain and troubleshoot computer networks, including LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), DNS (Domain Name System), TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, and switches.
- Support and administer Microsoft Windows Server environments, Active Directory accounts, and Microsoft Office applications to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage computer hardware components such as desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals while coordinating repairs or replacements as needed.
- Utilize tools like SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy for incident tracking, asset management, and deployment tasks.
- Assist with software troubleshooting across multiple operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Implement security measures by configuring firewalls, VPNs, and access controls to safeguard organizational data.
- Collaborate with team members to analyze system logs and diagnose network or hardware issues efficiently.
- Support help desk operations by providing exceptional customer service through clear communication and timely resolutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in IT support or technical support roles with a strong understanding of computer networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, LAN/WAN configurations.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server administration and Active Directory management.
- Familiarity with operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
- Knowledge of network security protocols including firewalls, VPNs, and TCP protocols.
- Ability to troubleshoot software issues related to Microsoft Office suite and enterprise applications.
- Experience managing computer hardware components and performing hardware repairs or upgrades.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills for diagnosing complex IT issues quickly.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or Cisco CCNA are preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: £42,000.00-£43,000.00 per year
