Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow
- Lead food preparation and cooking activities, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a cohesive team environment
- Oversee food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and cleanliness standards
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure timely serving of dishes and guest satisfaction
- Contribute to menu planning and innovative culinary ideas to enhance our offerings
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock ordering, and manage waste control to optimize resources
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a busy kitchen or restaurant setting
- Extensive food production and culinary experience across various cuisines
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of kitchen staff
- Solid background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
- Previous restaurant experience with a focus on hospitality excellence and serving guests
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in a professional kitchen environment
- Demonstrated leadership abilities combined with excellent communication skills
