Meet Our Client
We are expanding our services in Bury and are seeking compassionate and reliable Healthcare Assistants to support a baby boy with complex clinical needs as part of a dedicated care team.
This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of his journey as he prepares for discharge from hospital and transitions safely into his family home.
He enjoys social interaction and watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and his family’s goal is for him to grow and thrive at home, attend school in the future, enjoy family outings and holidays, and work towards greater independence, including the potential for tracheostomy weaning.
You will provide dedicated one-to-one support throughout the day, ensuring he remains safe, comfortable, and well cared for at all times.
As part of his care team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred clinical care, supporting his daily needs, and creating a calm, nurturing, and reassuring environment for both him and his family.
Key Responsibilities
You will provide high-quality, person-centred care, including:
- Supporting with personal care and daily routines
- Assisting with medication administration
- Supporting moving and handling needs
- Delivering complex clinical interventions following training and competency sign-off
- Maintaining a calm, safe, and supportive environment
- Promoting comfort, safety, and wellbeing throughout the day
- Supporting a smooth and successful transition from hospital to home
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 3 months' care experience
- Confidence in medication administration, personal care, and moving and handling
- Willingness to learn and support complex clinical care following specialist training
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel to Royal Manchester Children's Hospital for shadowing and training
- A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to care

Our funded training (including clinical skills) is provided free of charge; however, attendance is unpaid.
