An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Agent or Site Manager to join AmcoGiffen Aviation, supporting the delivery of a growing portfolio of airside infrastructure, maintenance and civil engineering projects at Birmingham Airport.

About AmcoGiffen Aviation
AmcoGiffen Aviation delivers high-profile civil engineering schemes across UK airports, including airfield maintenance frameworks, infrastructure upgrades and specialist airside works.
As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a Site Agent / Site Manager to join our Birmingham-based Aviation team. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in the safe, efficient and successful delivery of works across Birmingham Airport's operational environment.
Working within a highly regulated live airfield environment, you will ensure all construction activities are delivered in accordance with AmcoGiffen procedures, client requirements, industry standards and statutory legislation.
The Role
As Site Agent / Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of civil engineering and airside projects, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, on programme and within budget.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing site operations across a portfolio of airside maintenance and project works.

Planning and coordinating labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.

Producing and implementing RAMS, permits and safe systems of work.

Leading site teams to deliver works safely while maintaining operational airport requirements.

Managing subcontractors and ensuring compliance with AmcoGiffen and client procedures.

Undertaking short-term planning and look-ahead programming with delivery teams.

Monitoring project progress against programme, cost and quality objectives.

Conducting site inspections and ensuring works are delivered in accordance with specifications and best practice.

Supporting commercial and project delivery teams with change management and contract requirements.

Assisting with procurement activities and material requisitions.

Carrying out inductions, briefings and toolbox talks as required.

Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.

Developing strong relationships with airport stakeholders, clients and supply chain partners.

Identifying and escalating technical, operational or programme risks and supporting their resolution.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience delivering civil engineering projects within aviation, airfield or other highly regulated infrastructure environments.
Essential

Proven experience as a Site Agent, Site Manager or Senior Sub Agent within Civil Engineering.

Experience delivering airside civil engineering projects and maintenance works.

Strong understanding of construction methodologies, planning and site management.

Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour teams.
-
CSCS Card.
-
SMSTS.
-
First Aid at Work.
-
Full UK Driving Licence.

Ability to obtain and maintain an Airport Airside Pass.

Basic Disclosure Certificate.

DfT-recognised General Security Awareness Training (or willingness to obtain).

Five-year checkable employment history.
Desirable
-
HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

Experience delivering airfield pavement, drainage, infrastructure or AGL works.
-
Temporary Works Coordinator.
-
IOSH Managing Safely, SEATS or equivalent.
-
AutoCAD experience.
-
Professional membership or working towards chartered status.
