Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Food and Beverage Attendant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items, ensuring excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, adhering to company standards.
- Assist customers with menu selections and provide exceptional service to enhance their experience.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, or other light snacks as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including sanitising equipment and surfaces regularly.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Operate cash registers accurately, process transactions efficiently, and handle cash or card payments.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts.
- Uphold health and safety policies in accordance with company guidelines.
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista or in a similar food and beverage role is desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene preferred.
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Basic food preparation skills for assembling menu items efficiently.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks and ensure timely service delivery.
