Laundry & Dry Cleaning Delivery Driver (The Face of the Fleet)
- Location: Glasgow (Van pickup/drop-off in Bearsden, G61)
- Hours: Part-time | ~12 hours per week (with room to grow if you want them)
- The Shift Pattern: * Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 4:30pm – 8:00pm
- Sunday: 3:30pm – 7:00pm (Perfect for avoiding the worst of the rush hour traffic!)

The Steam Shop has been keeping the West End of Glasgow looking sharp for over 30 years. We handle the laundry, ironing, and dry cleaning for local households and businesses who trust us not to ruin their favourite outfits. We’re a small, tight-knit team who take our work seriously, but ourselves? Not so much.
The Role (Why this isn't your average parcel gig)
If you’re looking to mindlessly throw heavy boxes into a bush and sprint back to your van, this isn't the job for you.
As our Delivery Driver, you are the face of The Steam Shop. You’ll be interacting directly with our lovely Glasgow customers. You'll be collecting rumpled piles of laundry and returning them in pristine, freshly pressed perfection. You need a sharp eye for detail, a steady hand so the shirts don't crease, and the kind of chat that leaves people smiling.
What You’ll Actually Be Doing:
- Driving the chariot: Safely navigating the streets of Glasgow in the company van (abiding by the rules of the road, obviously).
- The Grand Tour: Planning efficient routes so you aren’t zig-zagging across the Clyde unnecessarily.
- Customer Relations: Greeting people with a smile, taking special instructions ("Don't starch the kilts!", etc.), and keeping them updated if traffic is a nightmare.
- The Heavy Lifting: Loading and unloading bags of laundry. Think of it as a free workout.
- Tech Wrangling: Using our delivery app to update order statuses, grab signatures, and prove you were there.
- Vehicle TLC: Doing quick daily checks on the van so we know it’s safe and roadworthy.
What We’re Looking For:
- Age 25+ with at least 2 years of driving experience (Our insurers make the rules, we just have to play by them).
- A full, clean UK driving licence. * Good banter and great manners: You genuinely enjoy chatting with people and can handle the Glasgow public with charm and patience.
- A bit of muscle: You need to be comfortable lifting and carrying bags of laundry (up to about 12kg).
- Reliability: If you say you’ll be there at 4:30pm, we expect to see your face at 4:30pm.
- Smartphone savvy: If you can navigate Google Maps and use standard apps without accidentally muting your phone for three days, you’ll be grand.
