The Chequers Inn is a 2 AA Rosette, 4 Silver AA Star Hotel and Restaurant in the Buckinghamshire countryside near High Wycombe, with excellent transport links to London and the South-East.
We’re looking for a Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team, working Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 10:00 am.
This is a great role for someone who enjoys early starts, takes pride in quality, and can deliver a smooth breakfast service for our hotel guests and visitors.
The Chequers Inn has the old-world charm of low beams and open fireplaces, mixed with a high-quality menu and friendly service. All this, along with our AA rosette, makes us well known and popular in the local area, as well as further afield. We serve an eclectic mix of high-quality brasserie-style food, as well as lighter meals in both our busy restaurant and bar area.
As Breakfast Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast for our hotel guests to a high standard, making sure the kitchen is ready for service, and keeping everything clean, organised and well-stocked. You will work closely with the wider kitchen team and report directly to the Sous Chef and Head Chef.
We require that candidates be able to live and work in the UK.
What we are looking for:
- Previous chef or breakfast chef experience
- Confidence working independently during breakfast service
- Ability to prepare and cook high-quality breakfast dishes
- Good organisation and time management
- Ability to work calmly under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Food safety training and relevant culinary experience or qualifications
We offer a competitive salary and approx £240 a month in tips.
Pay: £12.75-£13.50 per hour
