Part-Time Business Development Executive - Kitchens & Interiors
Overview
My Dream Kitchen is an established independent kitchen company with showrooms in Pinner and Loughton. We are looking for a confident and personable part-time Business Development Executive to help us establish and develop relationships with architects, property developers, building contractors, interior designers and selected commercial organisations.
The role will involve researching suitable businesses, making professional introductory telephone calls, following up prospective contacts and arranging qualified meetings for the lead designer.
This is an in-house relationship-building position, not a high-volume call-centre role. Previous experience in business development, telesales, recruitment, estate agency, account management or another telephone-based sales position would be beneficial. Experience within kitchens, interiors, construction or property would be helpful but is not essential, as full industry and product training will be provided.

My Dream Kitchen is an established independent kitchen company with showrooms in Pinner and Loughton. We have been designing and supplying high-quality bespoke kitchens since 1998.
We are looking for a confident and personable Business Development Executive to help us build long-term relationships with architects, property developers, building contractors, interior designers and selected commercial organisations.
This is an in-house position focused on opening doors, developing contacts and identifying genuine project opportunities. It is not a high-volume call-centre role.
The role
You will be responsible for:
- Researching suitable architects, developers, contractors and other potential business partners
- Making introductory outbound telephone calls on behalf of My Dream Kitchen
- Speaking confidently with receptionists, business owners and senior decision-makers
- Introducing our company and explaining how we can support their residential and commercial projects
- Identifying current and forthcoming kitchen opportunities
- Sending appropriate follow-up emails and company information
- Maintaining regular contact with promising prospects
- Arranging qualified introductory meetings for the lead designer
- Keeping accurate records of calls, contacts, follow-ups and outcomes
- Developing existing contacts into longer-term business relationships
- Occasionally attending showroom meetings or local networking events
About you
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in business development, telesales, recruitment, estate agency, account management or a similar customer-facing role
- Is comfortable making outbound calls to businesses that have not previously dealt with us
- Has a confident, friendly and professional telephone manner
- Can create a natural conversation without sounding scripted or pushy
- Is persistent and comfortable following up contacts over time
- Communicates clearly in both spoken and written English
- Is organised and able to manage their own contact list and follow-up schedule
- Is dependable and interested in becoming a long-term member of the business
Experience within kitchens, interiors, construction, property, architecture or home improvements would be helpful but is not essential. Full training on our products, services and approach will be provided.
Hours
Approximately 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We may be able to offer some flexibility around the exact working hours, making the position suitable for someone seeking school-friendly or part-time hours.
This is primarily an office and showroom-based role in Pinner, with occasional visits to our Loughton showroom. It is not a remote position.
