Trainee / Improver Bricklayer – Domestic Construction
We are looking for a young bricklayer who has recently completed an NVQ apprenticeship and is looking to develop their skills within a varied domestic construction environment.
This role would suit someone who has mainly worked on commercial building sites and would prefer a more hands-on role in domestic construction, with opportunities to learn a wide range of trades and building techniques.
What you’ll do
- Bricklaying and blockwork on domestic projects
- Assist with structural alterations and building works
- Learn roofing, carpentry and plasterboarding
- Gain experience in plastering and general building
- Work as part of a small, professional team on a variety of projects
What we’re looking for
- NVQ-qualified bricklayer or recently completed apprenticeship
- Good understanding of safe working practices
- Conscientious and takes pride in their work
- Polite, respectful and professional with customers
- Motivated and keen to learn new skills
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Full UK driving licence and have transport
