Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior/ Graduate Quantity Surveyor and Estimator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will assist in managing costs, preparing estimates, and supporting project teams to ensure financial efficiency throughout the construction process. Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects
- Support senior surveyors in tendering processes by gathering and analyzing cost data
- Monitor project expenses and implement cost control measures to prevent overruns
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify quantities of materials used
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate financial documentation
- Maintain detailed records of contracts, change orders, and payment applications
- Contribute to the preparation of tender documents and procurement schedules
Skills
- Strong understanding of construction costs and budget management principles
- Excellent numerical skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication skills for liaising with team members and external stakeholders
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with quantity surveying software is a plus
- Knowledge of cost control techniques and financial reporting practices
