Warehouse Operative Job Description

We are currently seeking a dynamic Warehouse Operative to join our team and assist in the efficient operation of our warehouse facility. The Warehouse Operative will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our inventory and upholding our high standards of quality and security.
Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Assist in various aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping processes.
- Unpacking, condition checking, photographing and repacking items upon receipt into the warehouse.
- Follow established workflows and procedures to ensure efficient productivity and minimize errors.
- Adhere to safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and tracking systems for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Support in conducting regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement.
- Aid in implementing measures to prevent loss, damage, or theft of valuable artworks and interior design pieces.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff, providing assistance and support to ensure smooth operations and adherence to company policies.
- Contribute to fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Assist in completing delegated tasks and strive to meet set KPI goals.
- Support in coordinating with internal teams and external partners to fulfill client orders and meet shipping deadlines.
- Provide assistance in communicating with clients to provide updates on order status and address any concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Aid in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse facility, including equipment, vehicles, and storage areas.
- Assist in coordinating with maintenance staff or external contractors to address any necessary repairs or maintenance promptly.
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Previous experience in warehouse operations is preferred, with exposure to fine art or interior design logistics being advantageous.
· Export packing and casemaking experience
· Basic proficiency in inventory management; familiarity with Microsoft Office is preferred but not mandatory.
· Ability to work effectively within a team environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
· Good organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
