Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children’s development. The Childcare Educator will be responsible for planning engaging activities, ensuring children's well-being, and promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
- Supervise children during play, meal times, rest periods, and organised activities to ensure safety at all times.
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages children’s curiosity and independence.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns to share with parents or guardians.
- Support children's emotional needs by providing comfort, reassurance, and guidance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan daily routines and special events that enhance the children's experience.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the childcare environment in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behaviour, and any issues that arise.
Qualifications
- Relevant childcare qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Childcare).
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging activities.
- Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic attitude towards working with young children.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and families.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
