About Us
The Yum Yum Food Company London is a busy nut free commercial kitchen making fresh daily meals for nurseries and schools across London. Our day starts early (6am) and quality comes first. This suits a morning person who would like their evenings and weekends free whilst still working in the catering industry.
The Role & Responsibilities
We are looking for a reliable cook and pack all-rounder to join our early morning team. You'll prepare, cook and pack fresh children's meals to a high standard, ready for daily delivery. Its hands-on, fast paced work as part of a friendly team
- Prepare and cook a variety of fresh meals from our set menus.
- Portion pack and label meals accurately for delivery
- Strict control over allergy meals, all allergen controls must be followed at all times
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, measuring, and assembling ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Keep the kitchen clean, organised and compliant while ensuing all food safety standards are adhered
- Support with menu development and creating new recipes
Experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in a professional kitchen
- Confident cooking at volume and packing to tight timings
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
- Must be a morning person - for a reliable and punctual 6am start
- Right to work in the UK

Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour
