About Our Home / Our Hub
Our new Barnoldswick service is a big, traditional Victorian end-terrace set in a peaceful residential neighborhood close to the Yorkshire border. Featuring spacious living areas, private young person's space, and a homely atmosphere, it offers easy access to local parks, Pendle Hill, and the Lancashire countryside.
The Role: What you'll be doing
You'll take full operational ownership of this new solo home, steering it through Ofsted registration and establishing a fun, energetic, and safe therapeutic environment.
Your day-to-day as a Registered Manager will involve:
- Team Building & Culture: Recruiting, inducting, and developing an outgoing, energetic staff team from scratch.
- Nurturing Aspiration: Creating an upbeat, fun environment where you integrate real-world learning, outdoor adventures, and life-skills development.
- Regulatory Excellence: Leading the Ofsted registration process, managing the service budget, and driving continuous quality assurance.
Your Experience and Qualifications
Essential:
- The Background: Proven experience as a Registered Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager (minimum 2 years in residential childcare within the last 5 years).
- The Skills: Strong leadership capabilities, sound knowledge of Ofsted Regulations and Quality Standards, and excellent safeguarding practice.
- The Personality: Fun, outgoing, full of energy and ideas, with a deep passion for changing a young person's life.
- Logistics: Full UK driving licence, right to work in the UK, and a willingness to complete an application form and undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
- Qualifications: Already hold the NVQ / Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Desirable:
- Established experience as a children's home manager, or already hold (or be studying towards) the NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (we will fund and support you if you're yet to start).
