The Opportunity
Are you an energetic, fun, creative and caring leader who is looking for a role where you can build a professional relationship with people and make a difference every day that you come to work? If so, joining the Castell team could be perfect for you.
We are looking for an inspiring Service Manager to work in our new Wrexham service opening in October 2026, supporting young people age 16+ who may have experienced vulnerability, instability or trauma.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strong leader who is committed to improving outcomes for young people and ensuring they feel supported, safe and empowered to build their futures. You will be supporting them in every aspect of their daily lives to develop the skills they need to live independently.
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, you will oversee the day to day running of the service and lead an excellent team of Support Workers delivering approximately 224 hours of independent living support per week to some amazing young people so they can live well. You will play a key role in creating a nurturing environment where young people can develop life skills, confidence and resilience.
Responsibilities will include ensuring the service provides safe, high-quality, person-centred support, supervising, supporting and developing the team of support workers, working collaboratively with the local authority and other external agencies, whilst always maintaining compliance with safeguarding regulations and Care Inspectorate Wales standards.
The role is split between management and support hours and is a challenging opportunity for an inspirational leader, experienced in providing services to people with complex needs, who is committed to the principles of Active Support and Positive Behaviour Management; to make a difference to people’s lives every day.
You will form an integral part of the management team, working with the Service Delivery Manager to make sure the service fulfils potential to become a market leader, but most importantly, make sure the individuals we support lead a good life with fulfilled ambitions.
You will also work alongside our team of managers to complete on call support on a rotational basis.
If you are passionate about empowering young people and leading a service that makes a real impact, we would love to hear from you.
The closing date for applications is Midnight Sunday 26 July 2026, with interviews taking place Thursday 30 and Friday 31 July 2026.
