About Yaffle Care
We’re Yaffle Care, a children’s social care provider doing things differently.
Our homes are warm, nurturing spaces for children aged 5–18 who have experienced trauma, loss or adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).
We believe that every child deserves a happy, safe and loving home — and that every night counts.
Our first home has been rated “Good in all areas” by Ofsted, and we’re growing with purpose, compassion and care.
About the Role
As a Night Therapeutic Support Worker, you’ll play a vital part in helping children feel safe, secure and supported while they rest. You’ll ensure the home remains calm, tidy and nurturing — and be there when the children need reassurance or care overnight.
You’ll:
- Stay awake, alert and present throughout your shift (21:30 – 07:30)
- Carry out regular checks to ensure children are safe and comfortable
- Complete accurate nightly records and handovers for the morning team
- Support any incidents or emotional needs calmly and professionally
- Help maintain the home’s cleanliness and warmth overnight
- Administer medication as required and record accurately
- Work closely with the team to uphold a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach
- Contribute to creating a home full of empathy, stability and care
What You’ll Bring
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
- The ability to stay calm, focused and kind in challenging situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility and reliability
- A good command of English and confidence using a computer
- A full UK driving licence (essential)
No previous care experience is required — full training is provided.
You’ll complete a comprehensive induction and be supported to achieve your Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within two years.
What We Offer
- At Yaffle Care, we value our team as much as the children we support. You’ll get:
- Full, high-quality training — including safeguarding, first aid, and therapeutic approaches
- Ongoing development and career progression opportunities
- A supportive, reflective team culture
- Access to professional supervision and mentoring
- A real sense of purpose every night you work
Our Commitment
