Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team at RASK coffee house. Your role will involve engaging with customers, preparing delicious beverages, and ensuring every visit is memorable. You will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of coffee and food items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. The successful applicant will be organised, attentive to detail, and committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
What you’ll do
- Greet and assist customers with their orders, providing knowledgeable recommendations on menu items.
- Prepare high-quality coffee beverages and food items while adhering to food safety and handling standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee house, ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math for sales and cashiering duties.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall customer experience and streamline operations.
- Uphold food preparation standards and practices to guarantee the highest quality of service
- Strong time management abilities to prioritise tasks during busy periods.
- Friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently when required.
Basic Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanour.
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic cash handling and transaction processing skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience in food service is highly desirable.
- Barista experience or knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices in the food industry.
