Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Van Owner Driver to join our team. This role involves delivering goods efficiently and safely across designated routes, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely service. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in delivery operations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, L2 or L3 vans, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Plan efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries across various locations.
- Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
- Confirm delivery details with recipients, providing excellent customer service through clear communication.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and documentation as required.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times during deliveries and while handling goods.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a valid driver’s licence.
- Experience in commercial driving or warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling packages or goods.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and safe driving practices.
- Prior experience with LWB vehicle operation is preferred but not essential.
- Must be organised, punctual, and able to work independently under minimal supervision. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in their driving skills and enjoy providing excellent service through efficient deliveries.
