About the Role
TitansJet Integrated Services is looking for an experienced Finance Director to join our team in Watford. This senior leadership role will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial strategy, reporting, planning, governance, and commercial performance.
You will work closely with the executive team and department leaders to provide clear financial direction, strengthen internal controls, and support sustainable business growth. The successful candidate will combine strong technical accounting knowledge with commercial judgement, strategic planning experience, and the ability to lead a high-performing finance function.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy: Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy in line with its operational priorities, commercial objectives, and long-term growth plans.
Financial Planning: Lead annual budgeting, business planning, forecasting, and financial modelling across the organisation.
Management Reporting: Ensure that accurate monthly management accounts, financial reports, cash flow forecasts, and performance dashboards are delivered on time.
Board Reporting: Present financial results, forecasts, risks, and recommendations to the executive team, board members, and other senior stakeholders.
Commercial Finance: Provide financial analysis and commercial guidance for pricing decisions, contracts, new services, investments, and business development opportunities.
Financial Control: Maintain effective accounting controls, approval procedures, reconciliations, and financial governance arrangements.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, working capital, banking arrangements, credit control, and short-term funding requirements.
Budget Management: Work with department leaders to establish budgets, monitor expenditure, and address significant financial variances.
Statutory Reporting: Oversee the preparation of annual financial statements, statutory accounts, tax information, and supporting documentation.
Audit Coordination: Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure that audit requests, evidence, and corrective actions are completed efficiently.
Risk Management: Identify financial, commercial, tax, regulatory, and operational risks and ensure that appropriate controls are maintained.
Compliance Oversight: Ensure that financial activities comply with relevant UK accounting requirements, tax obligations, company policies, and regulatory standards.
Systems Improvement: Lead improvements to finance systems, reporting tools, automation, financial processes, and data quality.
Team Leadership: Manage and develop finance managers, accountants, analysts, and support staff while establishing clear performance expectations.
Stakeholder Management: Build effective relationships with banks, auditors, advisers, suppliers, clients, and internal business leaders.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: At least 10 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, financial control, commercial finance, or related leadership positions.
Leadership Background: Previous experience as a Finance Director, Head of Finance, Financial Controller, or senior finance leader with responsibility for a complete finance function.
Professional Qualification: Fully qualified accountant with an ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent recognised professional qualification.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is desirable.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of management accounting, statutory reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, taxation, financial controls, and audit requirements.
Commercial Awareness: Able to connect financial information with business performance and provide practical guidance that supports revenue growth and profitability.
Analytical Ability: Confident interpreting complex financial data, identifying trends, evaluating risks, and presenting clear recommendations.
Systems Knowledge: Comfortable using accounting platforms, enterprise systems, reporting software, spreadsheets, and financial modelling tools.
Communication Skills: Able to explain financial matters clearly to directors, operational managers, clients, and non-finance stakeholders.
Decision Making: Demonstrates sound judgement and the ability to make timely financial decisions in a changing business environment.
Organisation: Capable of managing reporting deadlines, audits, budgets, projects, and competing priorities across the finance function.
Professional Approach: Demonstrates integrity, confidentiality, accountability, and consistently high standards of financial governance.
Pay: £8,500.00-£8,800.00 per month
