At Bloomsbury Home Care, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Team Leader to join our growing team in Colchester. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated care professional to take the next step in their career, develop their own team and play a key role in delivering outstanding care within the community.
You’ll work closely with your team of Support Assistants, our clients, Regional Managers and integrated care services to ensure the highest standards of care, support and professionalism are consistently maintained.
About The Role:-
As a Team Leader, you’ll combine hands-on care with strong leadership and management. You’ll be responsible for supporting, developing and motivating your team, while ensuring our clients receive personalised, safe and high-quality care.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing high-quality care and support within the community.
- Leading, supporting and developing your dedicated team of support assistants.
- Ensuring team members attend and participate in required face-to-face training.
- Shadowing and supporting new and existing support assistants.
- Completing accurate monthly audits and maintaining high standards of compliance.
- Processing monthly payroll accurately and efficiently.
- Creating and managing staff rotas to ensure effective service delivery.
- Conducting regular staff supervisions and appraisals.
- Acting as the first point of contact for clients and members of your support team.
- Creating and reviewing person-centred care plans, including comprehensive risk assessments.
- Liaising professionally with healthcare professionals, families, commissioners and other relevant organisations when required.
- Working collaboratively with regional managers and integrated care services.
- Participating in the on-call rota and providing leadership support when required.
Who We’re Looking For:-
We’re looking for someone who is confident, compassionate and organised, with the ability to lead by example.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience working within a care or support environment.
- Experience of leading, supervising or managing a team.
- A strong understanding of CQC regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to motivate, coach and develop staff.
- A proactive, positive and professional can-do attitude.
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding person-centred care.
- Relevant care qualifications and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- A full, valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
