The Green Door Nursery is an independent day care nursery registered for 36 children a day. We provide small group sizes for children and staff work in small teams. We are proud to have served the local community for over thirty years.
We have an opening for an 'Assistant Deputy Manager' working on the nursery floor to supervise and support staff teams ensuring children's day to day care needs are being met in line with nursery policy under the EYFS. The purpose of the role is to assist Nursery Managers in the day to day running of the nursery in achieving high standards of care.
For this role you will will need to have good safety and risk awareness; child behaviour management and organisational skills. You would provide cover in the absence of the Senior staff, communicating with parents.
There would be opportunities to take up management training. You would have input into day to day operations and decision making.
The position will suit someone already working in a more senior role or with good experience wanting to take a step up. Applicants are required to have a minimum of one year post qualification experience.
- It is essential to have a recognised childcare/Early Years qualification at a Level 3 minimum or above.
- We expect you to have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
We are offering the successful candidate a competitive salary, 5.6 WEEKS annual leave, including the Christmas break when the nursery closes for two weeks, £250 welcome BONUS at the completion of a successful probation period, free uniform, and the automatic enrolment pension.
We support our staff with their CPD. This is a full time role working 38 hours per week. Part time also considered. The successful applicant will be required to have an ‘enhanced’ DBS check. We are an equal opportunities employer.
