About the Role:
Liverpool is world-famous for its creative heritage and culture, and at SpiderWicket Digital Ltd, we apply that same creative spirit to digital products. We craft web applications, mobile platforms, and agency solutions that look exceptional and perform effortlessly. We believe that digital experiences should be as seamless as they are visually striking.
We are looking for a UI/UX Designer who can take ownership of user journeys and visual design across our project portfolio. You aren't just pushing pixels; you are designing user-centered interfaces that drive real conversion and engagement. You will bridge the gap between complex client requirements, user research, and developer execution. You are the advocate for the user in every project kick-off and design review.
Why Work With Us?
- The Environment: Located in the heart of vibrant Liverpool, our workspace is designed for collaboration—think open layout, dynamic energy, and creative freedom.
- Design Maturity: We don't need you to convince us that design matters. UX and UI sit at the core of everything we build, giving you a strong voice from Day 1.
- Modern Stack: We work primarily in Figma, FigJam, and Adobe CS. Our development teams build with modern frameworks, so we speak the exact same component language.
- Growth: We support continuous learning with access to design workshops, online courses, and industry resources to keep your skill set ahead of the curve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design System & UI Ownership: Build and maintain clean, scalable Figma design systems, component libraries, and responsive interface layouts.
- End-to-End Design: Lead the complete UX/UI workflow from initial user flows, wireframes, and site maps to high-fidelity interactive prototypes and developer handoffs.
- User Research & Testing: Conduct user research, competitor analysis, and usability testing to validate design decisions before full production.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with front-end developers, project managers, and digital strategists to ensure design integrity throughout execution.
- Stakeholder Management: Present design concepts and interactive wireframes clearly to clients and internal stakeholders, articulating the exact rationale behind every interface decision.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in UI/UX or Digital Product Design, preferably within an agency, SaaS, or fast-paced digital environment.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio is non-negotiable. We want to see end-to-end case studies detailing your problem-solving process, wireframes, visual design, and final outcomes.
- Tooling: You are a Figma power user (experienced in Auto Layout, Components, Variables, and Interactive Prototyping).
- UX Fundamentals: Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, web accessibility guidelines (WCAG), and responsive interface standards.
- Mindset: You are collaborative, adaptable, and pragmatic. You know how to balance stunning visuals with practical development feasibility and deadlines.
