The School of Engineering is looking to appoint two senior technicians to support a large volume of teaching activities within a facility serving several Engineering departments. The roles involve supporting the delivery of undergraduate engineering programmes by supervising laboratory classes and ensuring safe, effective, and engaging practical learning environment. Key responsibilities include assisting students with equipment use, experimental procedures, data collection, and analysis though providing guidance, answering questions, assessing participation, and reporting issues to the module leader.
You will be qualified to at least HNC/NVQ4 or equivalent and be able to explain engineering concepts clearly to students. You will possess or be prepared to work towards Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) status. The posts are permanent and are available immediately. Provisional interview date is 25 or 28 September 2026.
