The post holder will support the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, upholding patient dignity and delivered with kindness and compassion.
The post holder will demonstrate responsibility to patients, relatives, and colleagues through contribution to the development and monitoring of agreed evidence-based practice and to the health and social care programmes.
The post holder will provide and monitor the nursing care for a designated group of patients during a care episode.
The post holder will also actively contribute to an effective learning environment
- Be accountable for providing person centred quality nursing care delivered with kindness and compassion, acting in the best interest of the patient and families.
- Provide high quality safe and compassionate care within scope of competence, delegated by a registered nurse, to patients/ service users under the direct /Indirect supervision of the registered nursing staff
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of care and contribute to the assessment, implementation and delivery of individualised evidence-based care
- Undertake a range of delegated clinical skills including safe medicines administration in accordance with the scope of practice of the Nurse Associate role.
- Build effective relationships with patients, service users, families, and carers to promote engagement, health, and independence through collaborative, multi-professional care.
- Utilise knowledge and skills in making evidence-based decisions, and attend further training identified locally relevant to the post.
- Provide and receive condition-related information, communicating effectively with patients and carers using reassurance, tact and empathy, and ensuring understanding. Provide feedback of current patient/service user status to appropriate members of the professional team,
