Overview
We are looking for a Trainee Claims Handler to join our Recovery team at Strata. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start a career within the insurance industry, with full training provided, excellent development opportunities and the chance to work towards recognised legal qualifications.
Based in Tamworth, this role is Monday - Friday with working hours between 8:00am and 6:00pm, working 37.5 hours per week. Hybrid working is available following successful completion of probation.
How you'll make an impact

Manage property recovery claims from first notification through to settlement.
Investigate liability and recovery prospects, gathering evidence and documentation by telephone and in writing.
Liaise with clients, insurers, solicitors, third parties and other relevant parties to progress claims.
Support litigated claims where required, ensuring compliance with court directions and relevant procedures.
Negotiate and settle claims while delivering excellent customer service.
Maintain accurate records and update internal systems throughout the claim lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal procedures and client specific processes.
Meet individual performance targets and take ownership of ongoing learning and development.
About You

5 GCSEs including English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).

A Levels, BTEC qualifications or equivalent would be advantageous.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Comfortable speaking with customers and handling a variety of queries.

Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Able to manage workloads, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

Analytical mindset with the ability to investigate and assess information.

An interest in developing a long term career within insurance, claims or legal services.

Previous experience within insurance, claims or legal services would be beneficial but is not essential.
