Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Store Assistant to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining the organisation of store displays, and supporting daily store operations. Fluency in multiple languages, including English and Spanish, is highly desirable to assist a diverse customer base. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Maintain attractive and well-organised merchandise displays through effective merchandising techniques
- Provide accurate information about products and services using clear communication skills
- Upsell products where appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales opportunities
- Handle transactions efficiently using the point-of-sale system, ensuring proper cash handling and phone etiquette
- Manage stock levels by receiving deliveries, organising stockroom areas, and conducting stock counts
- Assist customers in locating products and answer queries promptly in both English and Spanish if applicable
- Support with store cleanliness, organisation, and visual presentation to create an inviting shopping environment
- Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed within scheduled shifts
Qualifications
- Fluency in English
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Good time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively throughout shifts
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service with friendly phone etiquette
- Previous experience in retail or merchandising is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment
