Job Introduction
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated part time teaching assistant to join our friendly and hard-working team. Set in the heart of the New Forest, we offer extensive facilities and children who are delightful and eager to learn. This is an excellent opportunity for a teaching assistant with high expectations to join our happy, successful and ‘outstanding’ school team.
The successful candidate will initially work in a KS2 class but will also be able to work across the school as required. Candidates will need to be flexible, and be able to work alongside class teachers, in addition to being able to support children with interventions on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
An NVQ level 3 or other appropriate qualification is required; experience working with children with SEND is desirable. Pay Grade is Grade C (FTE £25,186 - £26,244, pro rata, £13.05 - £13.60 per hour). The successful candidate will work 22.5 permanent hours per week working Monday to Friday from 8.30am-1pm, with the possibility of an additional 3 temporary hours each week to provide 1:1 interventions in the afternoon.
