Driver / Youth Worker / Motor Mechanics
We have an exciting new vacancy and are looking for the right staff to encourage and motivate young people to develop life skills, and participate in a range of functional skills and activities, educational interests and social opportunities. This position is for collecting young people from there homes and bring them with an escort to the different training centres to embrace there learning. At times take a young person out to do outdoor activities and play pool etc. This position is for full time or pro-rota. Have good basic working knowledge of vehicle mechanics.
We are looking for someone that is:
- Motivated and committed, with a calm approach.
- Able to work on your own and is also a team player.
- You must be a positive role model to the young people.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- You will need to be able to react calmly in stressful situations and deal with difficult and challenging behaviours when necessary as our young people have special educational needs.
- Basic working knowledge of vehicle mechanics
- Able to drive essential with full UK licence
If you feel that you can make a difference in their lives, you will need to:
- Be over the age of 25 (Employer has claimed an exemption under the Equality Act 2010)
- Male required due to the young persons back grounds
- Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence
