Crystelle Tutors is a specialist online language tuition provider, currently offering French and Spanish and expanding into Mandarin and other languages.
We are looking for an exceptional Mandarin tutor to join our growing team and work with students and adult learners with a range of goals , from academic and examination success to conversation, travel, work and personal enrichment.
We are looking for an experienced, inspiring educator with native or near-native Mandarin proficiency, excellent subject knowledge and a warm, professional approach to teaching.
The role
- Deliver high-quality, one-to-one online Mandarin lessons tailored to each learner's goals and level.
- Teach learners of different ages, abilities and backgrounds.
- Develop confidence and fluency across speaking, listening, reading and writing.
- Support examination preparation where relevant, including GCSE and A Level Chinese.
- Adapt lessons to each student's individual needs and learning style.
- Provide thoughtful feedback and maintain excellent standards of communication and organisation.
About you
- Native or near-native Mandarin proficiency with excellent standard pronunciation.
- Strong experience teaching or tutoring Mandarin.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for language teaching.
- Warm, engaging and able to build strong relationships with learners.
- Professional, reliable and well organised.
- Comfortable teaching online.
- Experience preparing students for GCSE and/or A Level Chinese is desirable, but not essential.
- A relevant degree and/or teaching qualification is preferred.
- Enhanced DBS required.
