We are currently looking for an IP Paralegal to join our Manchester office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lawyers with the preparation and filing of trade mark applications, oppositions, and renewals
- Drafting cease and desist letters and handling infringement cases
- Legal research
- Assist with business development, including preparation for pitches
- Conduct trade mark searches and provide analysis on potential conflicts and availability
- Support in the drafting and review of IP agreements and legal documents
- Manage and update client trade mark portfolios and databases
- Assist in the preparation of litigation documents and case files for IP disputes
- Liaise with clients, trade mark offices, and foreign associates to ensure smooth case management
- Provide general administrative support to the IP team, including scheduling meetings and maintaining client correspondence
Requirements:
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in legal document preparation
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a client-focused approach
- Strong academic record
- Working from the Manchester office at least three days per week
