Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. Responsibilities
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with pharmacy protocols and legal requirements
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, packaging, and labelling
- Provide clear guidance and information to patients regarding medication usage and potential side effects
- Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient interactions
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reordering supplies as necessary
- Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient care and medication management
Experience
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise errors in dispensing medication
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and healthcare providers
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
