Responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicle issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify necessary repairs.
- Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks including engine work, brake servicing, suspension adjustments, and fluid replacements.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs accurately and efficiently.
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to troubleshoot complex equipment problems.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely to move parts or vehicles as needed for repair or maintenance.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities for compliance and quality assurance.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction with the work performed.
Experience
- Proven experience working with vehicle systems, including mechanical knowledge of engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
- Skilled in using schematics and technical manuals to guide repairs and diagnostics.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and assembly processes required for vehicle repair.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining a focus on safety protocols.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze equipment issues quickly and accurately.
- Prior experience in vehicle maintenance or repair shops is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training or certifications are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and teamwork.
