Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children in our nursery. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in early childhood education and a love for working with children and watching them thrive in a home from home environment. There is a lot of working outside due to being a free flow nursery. We are a small nursery.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a group of children in the nursery
- Drive the implementation of age-appropriate activities and curriculum
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders
- Conduct observations and assessments to track children's progress
- Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Collaborate with the nursery team to plan and organize daily routines
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the nursery
- Provide leadership and guidance to assistant practitioners
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Leadership qualities to guide and support assistant practitioners
Pay: From £13.25 per hour

Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
