Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and dependable Afternoon and Evening Production Supervisor to lead our bakery production and packing team.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the smooth running of the shift, ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and supporting the bakery and packing team
- Organising staff and allocating daily production duties
- Ensuring production schedules and targets are achieved
- Overseeing the preparation, baking, packing and labelling of products
- Ensuring recipes, production procedures and quality standards are followed
- Completing and checking production and traceability paperwork
- Monitoring food hygiene, allergen-control and health-and-safety procedures
- Carrying out end-of-shift checks and ensuring production areas are left clean and secure
- Reporting production issues, shortages or machinery problems to management
- Helping to train and develop new team members
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous supervisory or team-leader experience, ideally within food production, manufacturing, catering or a bakery
- Be reliable, punctual and confident leading a small team
- Be organised and able to prioritise work in a fast-paced environment
- Have good communication and basic numeracy skills
- Be comfortable completing production paperwork accurately
- Be willing to take a hands-on role when required
- Understand food hygiene, allergen control and safe working practices
- Be able to lift and carry ingredients and products safely
A food-hygiene qualification would be an advantage, although additional training can be provided.

Hours and location
- Afternoon and evening shifts
- Monday to Friday
- Between 20 and 40 hours per week, depending on availability
- Based at Heathfield Industrial Estate, Newton Abbot
- Free on-site parking
- This is an on-site position and cannot be performed remotely
Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per month
