Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Pharmacy Delivery Driver to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for delivering prescriptions and pharmacy supplies efficiently and safely to our customers’ homes. Your enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, and strong driving experience will ensure our patients receive their medications promptly and with care.
Hours
- Approximately 20 hours per week
- Monday to Friday, 10:00am – 2:00pm
- Occasionally, shifts may run slightly longer depending on the number of deliveries.
Duties
- Deliver prescription medications safely and efficiently to elderly and housebound patients.
- Ensure timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining accurate delivery documentation
- Communicate clearly with customers to confirm delivery details and address any questions or concerns
- Handle all medications safely, securely, and confidentially in accordance with pharmacy procedures.
- Maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of the delivery vehicle at all times
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries
- Report any delivery issues or vehicle maintenance needs promptly to management
Experience
- Proven delivery driver experience, preferably in a pharmacy or healthcare setting
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- A clean driving record
- Experience with commercial driving vehicles and navigating urban or suburban routes
- Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and team members
- Ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
