Summary: Caprari Pumps (UK) Ltd. is a leading global manufacturer and distributor of high-quality pumps and pumping solutions. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Internal Applications Engineer to join our engineering team at our Peterborough office. As a Junior Internal Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support, application expertise, and solutions to our customers and sales teams, ensuring the successful integration of Caprari products into various industrial and commercial applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external customers regarding technical inquiries, product specifications, and application-related questions.
Application Analysis: Evaluate customer requirements and propose appropriate pump solutions that align with the specific needs of various projects and applications.
Solution Development: Collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to design customized pumping solutions that meet customer specifications and industry standards.
Proposal Preparation: Prepare and submit technical proposals, including system designs, quotes, and specifications for the customers' pump requirements.
Product Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of Caprari's product portfolio, features, and capabilities to effectively present the benefits of our solutions to customers.
Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve technical issues, warranty claims, and other customer concerns, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Documentation: Create and update technical documentation, application guides, and manuals to support the sales and customer support teams.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for product and process improvement, and work with the engineering team to implement enhancements.
Requirements:
Experience: Experience in applications engineering, technical support, or a similar role within the pumps or related industry preferred but not essential.
Pumping Systems Knowledge: Strong understanding of pump technologies, fluid dynamics, and pumping systems design principles.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide creative and practical solutions.
Customer-Oriented: A customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and support.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Adaptability: Flexible and adaptable to evolving customer needs and changing project requirements.
Travel: Occasional travel may be required to support customer meetings, industry events, and training sessions.
