Cleansed Window Cleaning is a growing window cleaning business based in Liverpool. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and motivated person to join our team as a Trainee Window Cleaner.
No previous window cleaning experience is necessary, as full training will be provided.
You will initially work alongside an experienced window cleaner while learning how to professionally clean residential windows using a modern water-fed pole system and purified water. Once fully trained, you will work independently, managing your own daily schedule and window cleaning round.
This is a practical, outdoor role and is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, wants to learn a new skill and is looking for the opportunity to develop within a growing business.
Responsibilities
- Clean residential windows, frames, sills and doors using a water-fed pole system
- Use purified water and professional window cleaning equipment
- Travel to customers’ properties in the company van
- Complete a daily schedule of regular window cleaning customers
- Provide a friendly, professional and reliable service to customers
- Work independently once fully trained
- Use the Cleaner Planner app to manage your daily jobs and schedule
- Take care of the company van and window cleaning equipment
- Keep equipment clean, organised and in good working condition
- Communicate professionally with customers
- Take payments where required
- Work safely and responsibly at all times
Training
Full training will be provided for the right person, so no previous window cleaning experience is necessary.
The initial training period will typically last approximately 2–4 weeks, depending on the individual’s progress and ability to work independently to the required standard.
During this period, you will work alongside an experienced window cleaner and learn all aspects of the role, including professional window cleaning techniques, using the water-fed pole system, customer service, route planning and the use of the Cleaner Planner app.
The training period is paid. Details of the trainee pay rate and progression to the standard rate of pay will be discussed with suitable applicants during the recruitment process.
Training will generally take place approximately 4–5 days per week, normally from around 8:00am until 3:00pm.
The aim is to train you to a high standard so that you can eventually work independently and manage your own daily window cleaning round.
Requirements
- A full manual driving licence is essential
- Your driving licence will be checked with the DVLA
- You must be able to reliably get to West Derby each morning at approximately 7:30am–7:45am
- Reliable and punctual
- Hardworking and physically fit
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Friendly and professional when dealing with customers
- Able to work independently
- Willing to learn and take instruction
- Organised and responsible
- Able to use a smartphone and basic apps
Previous window cleaning experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.
The most important things are reliability, a good attitude and a willingness to learn.
