Business Support Officer Fixed term (External), Secondment (Internal) Property Service/Capital Delivery
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and motivated individual to join our Property Services – Capital Delivery team on a 12 month contract, supporting the delivery of the Capital Programme valued at approximately £240m, delivering essential works required to maintain and improve housing stock, within a thriving housing organisation.
As part of the Business Support Team, and reporting to the Business Support Team Manager, you will provide a high-quality administrative and business support service that underpins the effective running of Property Services- Capital Delivery, Asset Management and Compliance, and the Capital Delivery Programme.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering comprehensive administrative support, including proactive diary management, meeting coordination, agendas, taking high‑quality minutes, and action tracking.
- Maintaining and updating information systems ensuring all documentation, correspondence, and data are accurate, accessible, and compliant with corporate policies, audit requirements, and statutory obligations.
Coordinating responses to resident queries, complaints, and Freedom of Information requests within agreed timescales.

- Supporting procurement and financial processes, including raising purchase orders, processing payments, monitoring budgets, and producing financial reports using Agresso.
- Managing the Property Services generic mailbox, ensuring all enquiries are triaged, prioritised, and responded to promptly and professionally.
- Supporting internal and external communications, including drafting and issuing correspondence to residents, contractors, councillors, and key stakeholders.
- Assisting with the Emergency Call Out service, including rota administration, record maintenance of documents and channel, and ensuring compliance with service procedures.
- Contributing to the smooth delivery of capital schemes by ensuring documentation is accurate, governance requirements are met, and key datasets and trackers are updated in a timely manner.
What you’ll bring:
We are looking for a proactive, highly organised, and collaborative individual with the following skills, experience, and attributes
- High‑level business and administrative support experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally within the public sector. (Desirable.)
- Microsoft Office applications must have strong proficiency in (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality documents and reports. (essential).
- Agresso, must have knowledge and practical experience of using. (essential).
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple competing tasks and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Highly analytical and detail‑driven, leading thorough investigations, report writing skills and resolving complex queries across major works and housing case type.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and build positive relationships at all levels.
- Flexible, transparent, solution-focused approach with the confidence to take initiative and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Will be required to work onsite two times per week, supporting the delivery of in‑person services and team collaboration. (essential).
Assessment Requirements:
As part of the selection process, candidates will be required to complete a comprehensive skills assessment, including an administrative/competency exercise and an Excel proficiency test, to demonstrate their ability to meet the technical and organisational requirements of the role.
