Overview
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our manufacturing team.
We are looking for someone to work on the panel saw & to prepare battens for the spindle moulder.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machine tools to produce precision components in accordance with technical specifications.

Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor a variety of machining equipment including milling machines and other tools.
- Proven experience using a table saw, edgebander, single head spindle moulder & thicknesses planer.
- Interpret technical drawings and CAD files, utilising design software to produce accurate parts.
- Fabricate components using hand tools, tooling, and materials handling techniques.
- Conduct routine inspections of machined parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Assist with assembly processes as required, ensuring components fit together accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members on projects involving fabrication and manufacturing processes.
Skills
- Proven experience in fabrication, milling, assembly, and materials handling within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Proven experience using a table saw, edgebander, single head spindle moulder & thicknesses planer.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, tooling, welding equipment, and basic math for precise measurements.
- Knowledge of materials properties and handling techniques relevant to machining operations.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of machining tasks. This position is ideal for motivated individuals seeking to expand their expertise in machining technology within a professional setting.
Pay: £13.00-£19.00 per hour
