The Beeches Nursing Home are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation across our facilities. The successful candidate will supervise daily housekeeping operations, support and train staff, and help create a safe, welcoming environment for residents and guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the housekeeping team on a daily basis.
- Allocate duties and monitor work quality to ensure high standards are maintained.
- Carry out cleaning and housekeeping duties as required.
- Train and mentor new and existing team members.
- Manage stock levels and order supplies.
- Conduct routine inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
- Report maintenance issues promptly and work closely with other departments.
- Promote excellent customer service and respond professionally to enquiries or concerns.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a senior or supervisory housekeeping role.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety and infection control procedures.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Shifts: 5 days as week including, Saturday - 8 am - 1pm.
